Marbles Kids Museum

Marbles Kids Museum is a hands-on, interactive museum that inspires children to be creative thinkers, active learners and confident individuals in today's world.

Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park

This exquisitely designed, glass roofed amphitheatre sits by Symphony Lake, surrounded by beautiful woods. Hosting concerts and movies, the theater is also the summer home of the North Carolina Symphony, which presents its annual Summerfest Music Series every June and July. 

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre

The theater offers a full array of classes and programs for young people and presents two productions yearly. 

North Carolina Museum of History

Exhibits present the region’s history from the time the State was formed; long-term displays focus on folk life, healing systems, and struggles during the Civil War. The North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame celebrates the region’s sports history; members include Arnold Palmer, Dean Smith and Richard Petty. 

North Carolina Museum of Art

Highlights include exhibits from Africa, Oceania, Ancient Europe, and the America’s, as well as historical and contemporary US works, including southern folk art. The large surrounding park houses several large installations and sculptures, as well as the Joseph M. Bryan, Jr. Theater.

North Carolina Museum of Natural History

Thought-provoking visual environments are enhanced by the inclusion of live animals in exciting exhibits on North Carolina’s varied geography, geology, flora, and fauna. 

North Carolina Symphony

The Symphony sponsors the Triangle Youth Harmonic and performs many concerts each year in the Triangle Area with several concerts offered at no charge to school age children as part of an incredible educational program. 

Raleigh Convention Center

The Triangle area's foremost convention, trade show, and theater complex, the center includes a large, well designed convention center, Memorial Auditorium and the BTI Center for the Performing Arts. 

PARKS & RECREATION

Fred G. Bond Metro Park

Landscaped around Bond Lake, visitors may enjoy picnics, play ball on the athletic fields, see a performance in the amphitheater, walk along the trails, or play on the Lazy Daze Playground. The Bond Park Community Center and Senior Center are also on the park grounds. 

William B. Umstead State Park

William B. Umstead is a place to escape the pressures of everyday life, a place to picnic in the pines, to wait for a fish to bite, to take a hike or horseback ride on trails through the woods.  

Jordan Lake Recreation Area

This 13900-acre lake with 9 recreation areas and numerous boat ramps supplies lakeside recreation to the residents of Chatham County and surrounding areas.

Amenities include 54 holes of championship golf, tennis facilities, numerous swimming pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center and Kids Club.

Lochmere Golf Club

Lochmere is a semi-private golf club that offers members and guests an enjoyable golf experience.
 

SPORTS

Carolina Hurricanes NHL Hockey  

The Carolina Hurricanes are a professional ice hockey team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. They won their first Stanley Cup during the 2005-2006, beating the Edmonton Oilers four games to three.

Durham Bulls Baseball 

The Durham Bulls are a minor league baseball team based in Durham, North Carolina. The team, which plays in the International League, is the AAA (Triple-A) affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays major-league club. The Bulls play in Durham Bulls Athletic Park, better known as the "D-Bap", located in downtown Durham.

Cary Tennis Park

Cary Tennis Park provides a comprehensive array of tennis programs,events and services for all ages and skill levels. There are private lessons, group clinics, tennis leagues, and organized play. Cary Tennis Center has 28 championship level courts.
